The Symplax CLI includes an MCP server. Add it to your AI assistant once, and you can ask it to deploy an app, read why a deploy failed, set environment variables, create a database or add a cron job, in plain words.

Set it up

1

Run npx symplax login and approve it in your browser. Give the login the permissions you want your assistant to have. See the CLI.
2

Add Symplax to your assistant

3

Ask

“Deploy my-api and tell me if it worked.” “Why did the last deploy of shop fail?” “Create a Postgres database and link it to my-api.”

What it can do

When a deploy fails, the assistant gets the reason Symplax found and the end of the build log, so it can usually tell you what to fix.

What it cannot do

  • It can only do what your login’s permissions allow. If a permission is missing, the tool says which one, and you can run symplax login again to add it.
  • It cannot delete anything: apps, databases, cron jobs or servers.
  • Environment variable values stay hidden unless the login has the secrets:read permission.
Changes such as deploys and rollbacks are marked as actions, so your assistant asks before it runs them.
In CI or on a shared machine, set SYMPLAX_API_KEY instead of logging in. The MCP server uses it the same way the CLI does.
