Every database page has tools for working with your data without installing a client or opening a port. They work through the Symplax agent on your server, so they do not need public access. Open a database from Databases. The tabs you see depend on the engine:
Data, Console, Query Log and Variables need the database to be running. If it is stopped, start it from the Settings tab.

By engine

Data lists your tables. Select one to:
  • page through its rows,
  • filter rows by column with Filter rows (equals, contains, less than, is empty, and so on),
  • add, edit and delete rows with Add Record and the row actions,
  • see its columns,
  • download it with Export CSV,
  • drop it.
Create Table opens a form where you name the table and define its columns, including primary key and not null. PostgreSQL also offers foreign keys; MySQL and MariaDB offer auto increment.Console is a SQL editor. Type a query and press Cmd+Enter (or Ctrl+Enter) to run it. Results appear as a table, and Recent queries keeps your history.

Safety limits

The console blocks or confirms commands that could destroy data by accident:
  • In SQL consoles for PostgreSQL, MySQL and MariaDB, DROP TABLE, TRUNCATE and DROP SCHEMA ask you to confirm before they run.
  • DROP DATABASE is never allowed from the console.
  • In MongoDB, dropDatabase, shutdown, dropAllUsersFromDatabase and dropAllRolesFromDatabase are refused.
  • For Redis and Valkey, FLUSHALL, SHUTDOWN and CONFIG commands are refused.
You can run up to 60 queries a minute from the console.
Before running a migration or bulk change by hand, take a backup from the Backups tab. See Backups.

Connecting your own client

If you prefer a desktop client such as TablePlus, DBeaver or pgAdmin, turn on public access for a limited time and use the public URL from the Overview tab.
